Our Commitment

At Wild Boar Bike Racks, we are committed to delivering quality products and a fair, transparent returns experience. This policy is written in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).


Your Statutory Rights Under the Consumer Guarantees Act

Under the CGA, our products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, match their description, and be free from defects. These guarantees cannot be contracted out for consumer purchases.

If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy from us — which may be a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature of the failure.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the CGA or FTA.


Faulty or Defective Goods

If your product arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or fails to perform as described, please contact us within 30 days of delivery at sales@wildboarbikeracks.com.au.

We will ask you to provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the fault
  • Photos or video evidence where applicable

For significant failures under the CGA, you may choose to return the product and receive a full refund or replacement. For minor failures, we will repair or replace the item within a reasonable time.

Return shipping costs for faulty goods are covered by Wild Boar Bike Racks.


Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging
  • All original accessories, hardware, and documentation are included
  • The item is in resalable condition

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in return transit.

A restocking fee of 10% may apply. 

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for items that have been installed, modified, or show signs of use.


How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email sales@wildboarbikeracks.com.au with your order number and reason for return
  2. Our team will respond within 2 business days with return authorisation and instructions
  3. Ship the item to: 12 Manu Street, Favona, Auckland, New Zealand
  4. Once received and inspected, we will process your refund or replacement

Manufacturer Warranty

For your peace of mind, we include a Lifetime Warranty on every rack we sell (base set) and a 2-year Warranty on all other parts.


Refund Timeframes

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item. Refunds are issued in NZD to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the credit.


Exclusions

We do not accept returns for:

  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or failure to follow instructions
  • Items returned without prior authorisation
  • Items returned outside the applicable return window
